Here are the essential tools and resources you'll need:

1. Mobile Phone or Laptop Device: Ensure you have a reliable device with a good internet connection for seamless communication and guidance throughout the test.
2. A Step or Platform: You'll need a sturdy step or platform, with the height typically around 30 cm (12 inches). However, the step height may vary based on your age and perceived level of fitness. We can advise on the recommended step height for your specific needs.
3. Tape Measure: Have a tape measure handy to confirm the step height, ensuring it meets the true height required for the test.
4. Metronome or Audio Recording: Use a metronome or our set cadence audio recording to maintain the correct stepping rhythm. We will provide you an audio link for this.
5. Heart Rate Monitor: A finger pulse oximeter is ideal for tracking your heart rate accurately during the test.
6. Stopwatch or Timer (OPTIONAL): Keep track of time with a stopwatch or timer to monitor each stage of the test.
7. BORG Scale: Download our copy of the BORG Scale to help determine your Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) during the test.

Here’s how it works:

1. Fill Registration Form: Verify appointment time availability from booking calendar (or chat with us on whatsApp) and submit registration form online to continue to payment page.

2. Complete Payment: On the checkout page, make payment of £110 via any of two (2) options:

   i. Secure Bank Transfer to WISE Bank Account.

   ii. Secure Debit/ Credit Card payment via Stripe payment platform. 

   [NB: Clients who opt for Bank Transfers should kinldy send "Proof of Payment" to our support email ([email protected]) to be granted access to the Client Portal]

3. Schedule Your Appointment: Login to Lifecode portal on website and Book your test at a time that suits you.
4. Prepare Ahead: Complete all preparatory material online and Gather your equipment: a mobile phone or laptop with internet, a step or platform, tape measure, metronome audio, heart rate monitor, and the BORG Scale. Make sure your step height is accurate with the tape measure.
5. WhatsApp Connection: At your appointment time, our expert instructor will reach out to you on WhatsApp to guide you through each step.
6. Follow the Guidance: The instructor will verify your identity, administrer a short health querstionnaire and help you keep the right rhythm and track your heart rate and perceived exertion throughout the test.

If the process cannot be completed due to lack of equipment, we regret that refunds will not be issued.

Even though this test is sub-maximal and doesn't involve running, we suggest wearing comfortable clothing like a light sports T-shirt and shorts or gym pants—whatever helps you feel at ease. Flat shoes are necessary, with sports trainers being ideal but not essential.

Also, have a bottle of water handy. Your heart rate will go up, and it's important to stay hydrated.
